But whether you’re an eye cream beginner or a veteran, there’s a chance you are making  mistakes with how you use (or don’t use) it. Below, find out how to correct your eye cream errors so that you can use this skin care product the right way. EYE CREAM MISTAKE #1: USING TOO MUCH OF IT Keep in mind that the skin surrounding your eyes is actually quite a small area. Skin Care Myths Debunked

Skin Care Myths Debunked Some facts about products, treatments, and what skincare regimen is right for your skin type. Myth: Cleaning your face with soap will bring you healthy and acne free skin. "When you scrub your face, you're taking off some of the protective oils and barriers, which leads to irritation and even burns," reported by dermatologists. Instead, use a gentle cleanser followed by a moisturizer or sunscreen. Myth: It's better to get the pus out of a pimple by popping it. "The truth is, even though it feels really good to release [the pus], a lot of it just goes in deeper, which  causes more inflammation that can lead to scarring and spread under the skin. That's why you'll get another one a few days later close to the first one."  It's crucial that people stop picking at their faces. But if you absolutely cannot resist, she says, be sure to do it right. Don't squeeze and pop the pimple. Instead, use som

Shirlie's Daughters' 6 simple tips to maintain healthy skin. Before we give out the healthy skin tips, we have to make a note of what causes  damage to your skin. Below mentioned are the reasons. 1. Lack of hydration: Just as you need to hydrated to  circumvent  the sensation of an extremely dry throat, it is essential to hydrate to keep away the dry and  pliable  feeling from your skin. The skin cells are also made of water and need to be  restocked  for the skin to stay hydrated. Drinking a lot of water is the only way to go about this because water is claimed to be the best food for skin. 2. Smoking: The reasons you started is not important but, by now you must have the understanding that it does nothing to combat your stress levels. The only thing it manages to do is make you prone to various respiratory, heart troubles and dry your skin out and make you look like a cracked board.  3. Sun damage: Fun in the sun makes you feel amazing, but then whe

9 Easy Mascara Hacks for Amazing Lashes Get carded. Lashes look their fattest when the mascara goes all the way down to the roots. The trouble is, it’s hard to get it there without getting black gunk all over your lids. To combat this, take a business card and hold it at the base of your lashes, then swipe on mascara. The excess will end up on the card, not on you. Baby your lashes. Just like the hair on your head, your lashes need to be conditioned. To do this, you can take the time to swipe on a special lash gel every night, or you can multitask by using a mascara with conditioning agents already built in.  Bulk up your base. Create the illusion of a thicker lashline by tracing the inner rims of the upper lids with black eyeliner. Our pick:  Avon True Color Glimmersticks Eye Liner  in Blackest Black.  Revive old mascara. To avoid eye infections (and dry, hard-to-use mascara), we highly recommend replacing your tube every three months. If your mascara gets gunky b

Breast Cancer in Black Women

New Cases Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among black women, and an estimated 30,700 new cases are expected to be diagnosed in 2016. Similar to the pattern among white women, breast cancer incidence rates among black women increased rapidly during much of the 1980s , largely due to increased detection by mammography screening. However, while rates thereafter generally stabilized in white women they continued to increase, albeit more slowly, in black women (0.5% per year from 1986 to 2012).4 As a result, incidence rates in black and white women converged in 2012.  The continued increase in incidence rates in black women may in part reflect the rising prevalence of obesity in this group (Figure 9). During 2008-2012, the overall breast cancer incidence rate in black women was 124.3 cases per 100,000 women, 3% lower than in white women (128.1). However, rates were higher in black than in white women in seven US states (Alabama, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missi
